The prestressed concrete pole is based on sophisticated and cutting-edge construction science theories, as well as advanced production technology. This allows it to offer a set of features that provide a definite advantage, even in direct comparison with more traditional systems, such as wooden or vibrated concrete poles, as well as steel ones. Key features include:

  • Long service life
  • Ease and speed of installation
  • Extremely favorable quality-price ratio
  • Absolute eco-friendliness (organic farming)
  • High physical-mechanical characteristics
  • Resistant to external agents such as organic and chemical substances
  • Uniform quality standards across the entire production

The prestressing technique has made it possible to tackle and solve structural problems that would otherwise be insurmountable using traditional reinforced concrete theories. It significantly enhances the mechanical characteristics of beams and pillars while reducing their size and weight. This is achieved by pre-tensioning the internal reinforcements while the structure is at rest. As a result, when external forces reach their maximum expected values, the internal forces within the prestressed structures will be null, whereas in traditional reinforced concrete structures, they would be at their peak, leading to potential fatigue issues.

Eco-friendly organic farming

The prestressed reinforced concrete pole is the most environmentally friendly support pole because it is made of natural aggregates and cement. The concrete used in its construction does not release any substances (preservatives, metals, etc.) into the soil and does not alter its characteristics over time, making it suitable for organic farming. Treatments applied to crops do not chemically react with the concrete of the poles and do not form pollutants, unlike supports made from other materials.

Easy and quick installation

Due to their high mechanical strength, prestressed concrete poles allow for easy and quick placement. When used for vineyards, orchards, or fences, they can be directly driven into the ground using excavators or specially equipped tractors. They require no maintenance before or after installation, maintaining their technical and mechanical characteristics over the years.

Our poles

In recent years, advancements in construction technology (cements, additives, increased tensioning capacity of steel cables, etc.) have also improved prestressed concrete poles. Today, they are much more flexible, durable, and standardized than in the past, and they do not release any pollutants into the soil.

Certifications

Our prestressed poles are manufactured using:
  • Type IA 52.5 R cement
  • High-quality aggregates compliant with UNI EN 12620 standards
  • Pre-tensioned steel cables compliant with D.M. No. 1086
They are tested according to European standard UNI EN 12839:2002 and consequently CE marked

Customized poles

After the initial curing stage, our poles undergo milling using a patented system. This process eliminates residual burrs and "concrete ridges" that could end up in the product during harvesting. As a result, the pole is even more suitable for vineyard harvesters and other mechanized operations in vineyards and orchards. The pole is also calibrated with a smooth finish on the fourth side, ensuring dimensional production standards. Poles can also be customized through:
  • Cutting to size
  • Rounded edges through patented milling, ensuring no burrs or concrete ridges
  • Coloring with natural oxides for better environmental integration
  • Armature sizing for specific stress requirements
  • Production with high sulfate-resistant cement
  • Through-hole drilling for easier cable installation and use of less expensive accessories
  • Milled and calibrated fourth side
  • Use of fiber-reinforced concrete for greater flexibility
  • End protection
